Dietary management of patients w/ or at risk of malnutrition, in particular w/ high energy needs &/or fluid restriction.

Oral liqd Complete nutrition 5-7 bottles/day. Supplementary nutrition 2-3 bottles/day. Tube feed formula Complete nutrition ≥1,500 mL/day. Supplemental nutrition ≥500 mL/day.

Not suitable whenever enteral nutrition is not permitted eg, acute GI bleeding, ileus & shock. Caution in severe organ failure w/ impaired metabolism & severe forms of malassimilation. Patients w/ congenital inability to metabolise nutrients contained in Fresubin Energy Fibre.

Ensure adequate fluid intake. Not for parenteral (IV) use. Monitor feeding rate during tube feeding. Not suitable for childn <3 yr & patients w/ galactosaemia. Caution in childn <6 yr.
